beautiful!

UTILIZATION

A pure sound, all solid wood. According to the makers of Seagull, the pairing of cedar and mahogany generally produces a smoother sound. Polished finish applied by hand softens the sound even further. This model is ideal for playing in intimate venues. I fully agree with their view of this marvel. It is immersed in a happy tone round, warm and softened. Excellent for picking blues, as much for the trimmings. To record a pearl, a condenser microphone in front of the box.
Personally, I love the rounded top of the box that reminds me a little that of Gibson. These curves are consistent with relaxed sound qualities da guitar.
As usual in this series artist, the production quality is impeccable.
A pearl of violin!

SOUNDS

Ideal for lovers of acoustics.
The bass is impressive, the perfect balance. This gives an impression of Seagull acoustic heat. The entire massif, while remaining light weight, requires a solid feel. Compared to my Martin OOO, which I used as a reference to locate another sound, the quality is similar. The seagull is less aggressive, less slamming of mediums, she breathes SOUND acooustique pure, balanced with a slightly higher dynamic in the register of low frequencies. Anyway, it's happiness.

Two years ago, the workshops opened Godin Guitars Godin Acoustic Studio, a studio dedicated to creating new concepts of acoustic guitars and innovative manufacturing techniques. Depu

IS the opening of Studio, Robert Godin is working with the best luthiers of the company to carry out a series of projects that resulted in the complete renewal of Seagull acoustic guitars.

Mr. Godin said: "We wanted to create a new concept that would improve both the sound and structural integrity of the instrument. In general, a production with delicate materials provides better sound. Conversely, wooden tables made with thicker and heavier assembly parts stifle the sound of a guitar. "

Table compound curve
The soundboard is what most influences the sound of a guitar. It is also the most fragile part of any high quality acoustic guitar. The grade and thickness of the wood used (solid cedar or spruce) and the assembly structure have a significant effect on the sound of the instrument. The idea of bending the soundboard is interesting because the greatest strength of a curved table allows the use of a material and a lighter assembly. While all this is true, the table has curved disadvantages: the location of the bridge is the place most requested of the table, then arch the region forced the movement and reduces the dynamic range. For cons, the area above the sound hole moves very little and it also poses a problem because it tends to sink as soon as the instrument the least bit dry. The downward pressure exerted by the key here also supports this trend. The solution: a guitar soundboard compound curve. On these models, the table is slightly bent over the rose window and becomes flat where the bridge rests. The curved table provides excellent stability in its upper part but also the power and projection that gives its flat surface, under the rose window. By stabilizing that part lying above the rose window, one can increase the flexibility of the rest of the table thanks to a new assembly concept allows unprecedented control of vibrations. The assembly parts of the new Seagull guitars are made of quarter-sawn spruce and carved to fit perfectly into the curve of the table.
Perfect angle mounting sleeve
The angle of attachment of the handle has a major effect on the tone of the instrument. The renewal of Seagull served as a pretext to the refinement of the assembly technology handles Godin. The body and sleeves are now assembled with incredible precision and the new compound-curve table provides additional stability necessary to achieve and maintain a perfect neck angle.

OVERALL OPINION

Around 880 euros in stores, sometimes more. Seagull beautiful home, a brand that, really, keeps me win! Seagull guitars are still little known in France. However, recent innovations provide a range of high quality guitar. May be the distributor of the brand he should put more emphasis on the promotion of these instruments?
A strongly advise.
However, I almost part with it to finance another purchase. Finally, I removed my ad because I play with more and more I love it. It is fully complementary with my Martin OOO. It will age with a bang, I'm sure. Good pick for those of you who want a true acoustic.
