I had a Yamaha and wanted a guitar with a sweet rounded sound to it. I traded in the Y and added cash to purchase this DR-7. Total purchas price was about $250, about 15 years ago. I have compared it to many manufacturers..even Martin and prefer the sound on this one for the price.

The rosewood makes the difference. Marvelous tone. I have compared it to recent Martins and it is sweeter.

The machines are a little sticky with age.

Construction and quality are great. I have been tempted to trade it in and can't part with it. It is now a collectors item.

If I had to do it over again, I would purchase this guitar over again.
