back to the note below, I do not agree with the opinion posted certainly has aged but the DR550 offers sounds from the drum machine Roland R8 the only difference is on some sounds that are absent on DR and programming opportunities and better ergonomics necessarily on an R8. The sounds of the DR sound rather dry and it can be used on a piece or to work at home on a rhythmic parttern possibly on stage.
