It is a dynamic cardioid microphone, quite versatile; I used to snare, electric guitar, and voice.
I bought € 25 on a flea market to someone who did not really know what he was selling and that is not being used when we know what it costs ...: D
The one I bought has a DIN connector lock 3 points. I have so far not had the courage to change the cable, I have a jack on the other side or I put a XLR adapter, and I need a lot of gain for a spectrum of a proper amplitude I do not know if it plays, but in any case it is a better model that requires consistent source.
It has a small ring at the bottom two positions, normal, and low-cut, highly effective, I do not know the exact characteristics otherwise. It vaguely resembles that of a SM57.

What I like least: this level a bit feeble, but when you tap on a snare drum, or you push the amp, no problem for a spoken voice is a bit tight however.
It should really place the front of the amp for example, I find that the directivity is quite pronounced compared to other microphones of this type, it changes completely everything, but when all has honed is nickel.
What I love most: the price at which I acquired (I had also seen a dear none cash converters). the relative neutrality, good transcription, not too aggressive (perhaps not enough some would say).
I have tried many models before, it sure is not a MD421, but it is worth a SM57 in another style.
I can only say that the price / quality ratio was good ...
Yes, of course I would do this choice, it is still far more able to expand his palette and propose alternatives.
EDIT 2406 2010:
This mic is much better IMHO than 57, more accurate, less "harsh" in the treble. It is hyper cardio I think. He actually missed perhaps a potato coat for a snare, and finally it is still very good, but when you are fussy, preferring a M201 (or static upscale and work ...). Anyway, we found not too expensive and well worth it, especially on a guitar amp (well I use it mainly for; that, after, you have to try everything). That this is, trust faisez German
