« Good old GX-700! »
Published on 05/19/11 at 02:141 Front Input Volume Control, 1 in back, 2 outputs with adjustable volume on the back, 1 pedal xp, pedal 1/2, 1 send/return. All this in jack. 3 midi: in-out-through. And a headphone mini-jack on the front.
To insert into a chain, a stereo input would have been helpful.
UTILIZATION
For the time, very complete, but compared to what is done today, too easy!
SOUND QUALITY
I've had it since its release, and I bought 2 second hand in recent years. It goes into a power amp MesaBoogie (the Fifty or the Ninety) and the MesaBoogie baffles, and frankly, passing a little time to adjust patches, no one ever told me: "ugh, you got a Boss sound! ". Except for its clean sound where you have to really settle ...
OVERALL OPINION
I've had 3, I think that sums up my opinion! It knows how to do everything, including 3-voice harmonizer, although I confess that the grain of the voice created is not realistic, but it can have its charm. Today it is outdated, but at the second hand price, it can be a great multi-effect to try your hand and ear!.
