ION announces three new electronic drum sets: Studio Session Drums, Sound Sessions Drums and Pro Session Drums.

All three drum sets will be on display at the Consumer Electronics Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Jan. 8–11, 2009.

Studio Session Drums contain what a new drummer needs to start playing using their Windows PC, with the drum set’s computer-connection box. Four natural feel drum pads and two cymbal pads mount to the adjustable stand. The drum set has two foot pedals and all cables are included, along with a pair of drum sticks. The drum set also comes with a CD-ROM containing play-along music and a challenging game. Drummers can record and export their performances as MP3 files. The drum set can also be used with other Mac and PC MIDI software.

Sound Session Drums are similar to Studio Session Drums, but they come with a studio-quality sound module. Drummers can plug in headphones or an amplifier and play in a band or along with their favorite music.

Pro Session Drums has a heavy gauge aluminum drum rack, large drum pads, swinging cymbal pads, and a sound module described as “ready for the stage and studio.”

Studio Session Drums, Sound Session Drums and Pro Session Drums will be available in Q2 2009 with prices to be announced.
