Version 6 of Cycling '74's Max will be available as of Q4 2011.
Cycling '74 CEO David Zicarelli presented Max 6 as “the next step in our ongoing effort to increase the accessibility of (the)software.”
Max 6 will have a reduced price point ($399), while those purchasing Max/MSP 5 and Max/MSP/Jitter 5 from now until version 6 arrives Q4 2011 will receive a free upgrade upon release.
Specific upgrade details are still scarce, but the company promises higher quality audio, GUI improvements, organization tools for projects and extended multi-processor support.
