« Warmth and depth of the native flute »
Published on 12/03/10 at 05:46I have this model since June 2010, Pick and Boch bought che luthiers in Lyon. This is a model in walnut, serious tone tried a year ago. The body is walnut, a wood that sounds solid but drier than cedar. But the sound is particularly soft and enchanting, the deep timbre evokes the landscapes of North America. The native flute (Native American) is a rare instrument in Europe. His approach is very easy for even non-musicians, there are many tabs that fit every key system (Carlos Nakai). The condor bass flute requires a separation of the fingers stronger than a standard flute in F or soil but remains accessible (less effort than a Baroque tenor). The downside is the difficulty to properly exit the treble (it must be dosed his breath). This flute is suitable for parts or slow and meditative improvisations (with a wonderful amp and some effects appropriate). As always pick and Boch provides quality equipment imported by the United States (brand Hight Spirit). Very good flute complements other flutes (the collection is vast).
