Fuzz is an analog and a compressor. The case is metal and the whole is very strong.
There are two versions: the 1330 EH blend with the switch, and EH-3053/3054 with a switch in series effects.
The first version, I have the chance to have, is considered the best of both.
There is a blend output (comp mixed signals and fuzz), and an output comp: it must be plugged into two amps, but I never tried.
The pedal plugs into current (integrated port), which for me is the negative (I prefer to use rechargeable batteries)
UTILIZATION
It's very simple, turn the knobs, we rely on his ear to the appropriate settings and go!
SOUND QUALITY
I've had a Muff more "vintage", with the transistors (here's technology op-amp), but the Big Muff Deluxe is comparable to a Rams Head from my point of view: it Indeed, apart from traditional Big muff with built-in compressor, and does not play on the same table. One recognizes the sound of a Big Muff, but with the compressor, even without pushing it, it gives more presence, and finally a little something that makes it very attractive. It is also easier to use live or in repeat (with the other I had to constantly review my settings for drilling in the mix ... recurring problem of Muffs)
Small compared to almost goal
The deluxe is far superior to current Muffs (I've bought one recently to try and to try mods) Little or normal. It is also superior to the Op-amp vintage left on the market, thanks to the compressor.
In fact, she has an amazing grain
Also, I had big problems with my Muffs transistors compared to transparency in its clear, and there is nickel. Cool!
I love the Muffs, and I love this version! 10.
OVERALL OPINION
I have two years and tried many other fuzz. It is amazing when you take a little time to adjust.
For me: not too much sustain, compression in the first quarter ... after must be adjusted and have fun
