Nuendo Live features a user interface that observes the single-window concept “without unnecessary options to avoid clutter and streamline processes, ” according to the company. Also providing an unlimited number of recording channels, Nuendo Live comes with EBU standard RIFF 64 Broadcast Wave File and multitrack output option for virtual soundchecks. Dedicated live tools include its record panel displaying essential recording information and other features, such as integration with Yamaha CL consoles.
Nuendo 5 features an ADR toolset with advanced take and marker handling, EDL import and Clip Packages for archiving, previewing and retrieving audio file clusters. Multitrack editing tools, grouping events and editing across multiple lanes are featured, along with reworked transient hitpoint detection and phase-stable audio quantization. Also included are about 70 VST 3 plug-ins, such as the Nuendo Post-Filter and Surround Panner. Further recording and mixing capabilities round out the feature set in Nuendo.
Steinberg have also released their latest maintenance update for Nuendo 5, version 5.5.4, to ensure project compatibility between Nuendo and Nuendo Live.
