Everything has been said
UTILIZATION
As discussed below, a compressor is greatly simplified. We can do better, but it is practical for its size and its setting "fast".
Yes, fast, because there are only two knobs, but hey, it takes still time to find the right balance between attack and sustain.
SOUND QUALITY
The Dynacomp is less neutral than other compressors, but also as said bottom is often why we bought it.
Quite a blast generated by this little box and got it for an ISP Decimator which annihilates the problem.
I play a Fender Esquire Custom GT and tapping on a P42. In many chordal arpeggios or torn, it gives me a good clean sound linear, although a bit colorful but I like this color.
OVERALL OPINION
I've had it for over a year, I bought it because I was not satisfied with the built-in compressor in my multi-effects (Vox ToneLab SE).
I tried the Boss CS3 in the same price range, I prefer the MXR.
In hindsight I'm not sure I would buy this pedal it rather than CS3, because I learned that it is known to make some changes' in CS3 to remove some blemishes that fact that I I preferred the MXR.
But be careful I'm very happy with my choice anyway.
