SOUND QUALITY

I found this really great pedal. It allows me to enhance certain frequencies (his job) and totally change my sound. I can go from a thick sound, a sound very 60's light just by touching it (provided you have made the right settings)
This allows many combinations if you play between its active pickups and one pedal on one or two of them, it changes completely.

OVERALL OPINION

If some find it useless, is that they do not need .. I find it very useful, especially subtle.

I recently started using to erase some of the high frequency high gain distos a little "loud" and it really sculpts the sound in any case I find it much more efficient than a conventional equalizer

Enhancer is a pedal, ie "enhancer" literally. Boss is a classic (made in Taiwan) with three knobs made from 1990 to 1997 by the Japanese firm.

SOUND QUALITY

At first glance, the pedal does not really seem to have any effect. Play a few times, then cut away. It's amazing! This can be particularly close to an equalizer which could have boosted the treble, although the result is not a beast rising high frequencies.

I recommend especially the use of clean sounds with a guitar (not too much impact on distos me): signal clarity and truly earns the sound takes on a whole new dimension.

With my bass, the sound is much brighter, and slap including gains in precision.

OVERALL OPINION

I have a few weeks and I am very happy. I use it mostly with my bass, permanently connected. It is very close to the LMB-3, limiting the function and less. It should however be careful not to push it too thoroughly, in which case the sound becomes a bit boring.
If like me you find it at € 25, please! It's a pedal that does not run the streets and that is really nice.

SOUND QUALITY

For a good metal sound, place it just after the distortion (the order of chaining is essential). For example, after a Metal Zone. Try these settings:

I try the LMB-3 Boss with the limiter and more.

SOUND QUALITY

Trs effective! your sound is immediately modified to find you then use (l is the problem lol).

It's worth testing and / or purchase if you like carving a particular sound, or if you voullez a beautiful clear sound.
Personally I use my microphone to clear up severe SH-1 while keeping its thickness. In this way my s'embllit clean.

It can be compared to SETTING THE "prsence" Submitted on some amps (Marshall, H & K. ..) but with more configurabilit forcment.

SOUND QUALITY

This is the effect to test the sensitivity of your ear ... Apparently it's a pedal set for whales and other marine mammals have a high frequency hearing ...

SOUND QUALITY

This is a boost pedal and a dynamic peal. you get added dynamics to your tone and you get a better boosted signal to the tone as well. The experts says play with this pedal on for a while and probably not notice much of a difference until you turn it off. Then you get to experience the difference in this pedal almost like you would be A/B two different amps or guitars.

This pedal doesn't add distortion to your tone or any other frequencies but just boosting those high frequencies to get you signal moving with more precision and clarity. It is a good pedal for recording with but if you are using a boutique amp then this doesn't make that much of a difference.

OVERALL OPINION

These pedals were manufactured for about 7 years from 1990 to 1997. They can be had on the classifieds all day long. I continue to see them for right around $70 to $80. Not a bad price for a pedal that may or may not be needed in your rig. I would recommend picking one up if you are about to do some recording because at this price it could be a no brainer. If you don't like it or do not need it you can sell it and almost break even for an experiment.

The Boss EH-2 is a foot pedal designed for electric guitar to 'enhance' your tone.  It gives you a brighter tone and cuts through a mix or a room quite well.  The pedal has a 1/4 inch input and output and like all Boss pedals can be powered by either a nine volt battery or power supply.  It isn't a rack mountable piece of gear as it is a stomp box.

UTILIZATION

The make up of the Boss EH-2 is quite simple to follow as it only has three parameters - it has knobs mix, frequency, and sensitivity - with an LED light to show the rate of sensitivity.  That is all of the parameters that this has to offer although this doesn't mean that you can't get a good amount of varying tones between the parameters given.  I think that just about anybody could figure out how to use this pretty quickly without a manual and regardless of experience...

SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality of the Boss EH-2 is pretty good overall even if you only use it subtly.  It is similar to other enhancers, exciters, and tone boosters, but it has its own sound and its own capabilities.  I use the pedal with a Fender Strat and a '76 Fender Twin Reverb or '65 Deluxe Reverb amp most of the time for recording and live shows, so I think I've definitely been getting an accurate read on what this pedal actually sounds like and I definitely like what I'm hearing.  While it isn't a pedal that I tend to use all that often, I like having it around because you never know when a unique enhancer like this will come in handy...


OVERALL OPINION

The Boss EH-2 is an older pedal in the Boss collection and is no longer made, but if you are interested in getting one you should be able to find a used one for a reasonable price.  While I do think that there are some better options if you are just looking for a tone booster, this will definitely have the same effects and does have a very nice sound.  I'm a big fan of the older Boss pedals as I not only think that they are great collector's items but generally enjoy the sounds they have to offer.  All in all, the Boss EH-2 is definitely worth a look if you want a unique enhancer/exciter.
