«  Very reliable »

Purchased in 1996 to equip a Wilkinson vibrato Strato with self-locking.
Frankly, nothing wrong. Installation was simple, because the holes were already in mechanical 10mm (modern mechanical). It is necessary to enlarge their size if the mechanics that we are apart vintage.

After they do their job, ie they block. Something to learn, we must give a quarter turn screw (located in the cruciform key) to make the mechanics a little harder. Mine were delivered fairly "soft".
Then you have to learn to climb ropes. With locking mechanism, it should do more to the "turn below, and two above. This becomes "The least possible or no turn." This gives a spectacular result in terms of accuracy required, even using the tremolo like a savage.

A downside, however: I bought gold to keep a color unit with the rest of my strat. The gold plating has a tendency to stipple and go a bit over the years.
