Published on 08/17/12 at 04:56I had already tried the strat pickups '60s and the P90 in MArc, and each time with much happiness. So I passed the set of 55 for my telecaster, and once again I am not disappointed!
Marc pointed me on the set 55 of our discussions, because I wanted to keep a good micro Chavalet twangy, banging and nasty tv 62 in mind, but my Telecaster has a maple fingerboard, and I was afraid that the SDET 62 is a little too spicy. It was the right choice!
The bridge pickup with Alnico 5 magnets is more nervous and more aggressive than the equivalent Alnico 3, and register to play in a pop / rock burnée is just perfect. But we might as well tackle stoniens good riffs with the same success, and association with an amp like Tweed is MAGIC!
The neck pickup is round, but always open, never dull or muddy as sometimes happens. intermediate position is also a wonder we find a more widened clear, that makes you want to shell arpeggios all day
In short, the € 169 set of pickups wound hand (and there is not marketing!), The quality of products as well as advice and reports of fans with Marc, I defy anyone to find a better confidence / quality / price, even among tenors handle overseas or from overseas, including microphones and all without exception and without distinction of origin (Fralin, BKP, Lollar, ...) finished in the ads - )
