I brought it new from my local guitar shop. Cant remember how much i paid, but it felt like a lot of money.

It's sheer grunt! It has ample headroom for loud and firm definition within the entire audio spectrum. Nice solid design, and durable chasis. Clear panel for a great view of those valves. Looks and sounds great.

The only complaints i have are;

- The manual doesn't tell me enough about the Input/Output details (for hooking up various cabs, and the amps influence on the outputs with regards to power and loading.)

- The standby or power switch causes a loud crackle on the output when switched, this can be annoying!

UTILIZATION

Very easy to use, plug and play it.
I do not have the user manual but it adapts quickly, you still have to take a minimum of time not to crash the connection and do not grill.
A liver branch settings are simple.

SOUNDS

The sound that emerges is clear and warm, this can be very violent but still a neat copy biensur all depends on the global pramp utilisdans it is very clean in terms of noise or parasitic feedback (when finally they know their stuff settle

I use with a stereo speaker 4hp Berhinger, a digitech pedalboard GNX3 (and despite what some think of this multi effect works with the fire of God, biensur on the pedals I Jarte modeling of speaker) and a IBANEZ 2550 Team Series prestige in IBZ DiMarzio (which microphones to license IBZ are very good in all respects, he eats the EMG 81 and 85 in output levels though it is passive) and a team in LTD 400BK EMG 81.

OVERALL OPINION

I play death / thrash / hardcore and it's perfect I finally got "the big sound I'm looking for" do it for a scene there's no shit in the studio and of course at home but a little too powerful.

This is a monobloc power amp lamps, he single-handedly possde 8xEL34 and 2x12AX7 and 2 12AT7 for the phase.

Nothing is easier! Four knobs and two switches! We have a gain knob and channel presence and a voicing switch for dynamic channel too!

UTILIZATION

- The configuration is it simple?
Yes! only has four knobs and two switches to turn to select the type of dynamic! it's easy! but still very careful rgler, all changes bring a typical large enough, especially not put everything thoroughly! seen the power of bte gain two-thirds more than enough to three-quarters great max! otherwise the presence argler is also sparingly as the grain is desired. But even when I reminds that it is a power amp, so use with a preamp which will already most of the work on the signal level of the sound.

- Gets it easy to sound good?
I would say yes! I combine it with my preamp Roctron Voddu Valve and sounds trs hot May s as I said, rglages are very sensitive, do not take time hsiter a very gently turn knobs to find the the fair and wanted! After turn 4 knobs is not hard but we already have a config premp drinking.

- The manual is clear and sufficient? ...
For my part I bought used and is rviser directly, but I did not need a manual, very easy to use, you just read and know what the input and output ... it's easy right?

SOUNDS

- Is it your style of music?
It suits me perfectly, open style, friends or another, I adapt a little while! But now I play in a hardcore metal band and looked for a while imposing its rich, warm, not one in May I cut the mids and I boost other friends of qualo, there's the cot Cracra class I like to home in this amp marshall. OVERALL OPINION

I use it since 2006 and c I like this amp is its power, precision and warmth, especially in a small grain all this power that comes from using EL34 giving a cot RocknRolla very sound.
I jou on jcm 2000 is a very good head, 5150 also report quality prices, Engl Powerball, which is very typical but I have cd for it but don ' is not comparable because it is the hardware rack! After chancun has its preferences!

UTILIZATION

For once, no need to be an engineer to use the machine, this is a power unit. The settings are so much more to operate the preamp associated with it. There, one volume per side, a presence on each side, period ...

SOUNDS

I love this material (when I think I'd put on sale, thinking no longer use). It "warms" all ... It is true that I use the stuff very "digital" but also the association of Guitar Rig 4 with the power amp is "magic" and help offset the relative coldness of the software. This combination sounds very interesting insofar as it "gets" all the advantages of one or the other: the multiplicity of sounds and programmed settings as possible about GR4 and light amplification. I also have a Rocktron Voodu Valve and the sound is nice but also less well defined and precise than RM4.
I play primarily on Luke, so equipped with EMG. On my Vigier (Di Marzio and Bennedetti), the sound is tinny, less full and less accurate albeit adapting the case, it does also ...

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for about two years in parallel with a Bose L1 for BT and dubbing guitar sounds from the Roland VG 99, which rings through the Marshall. Bose VG + + 99 + GR4 = EL34 sound of hell. The sounds and I get really high quality, diverse and powerful desire. The Marshall sounded all very ... Marshall is not to say. Frankly it's the best config I've ever had ...
The only big problem is the weight because the beast does not pretend, especially since it is mounted in concrete but we flycase what it takes to keep it safe from PBS ...
I can also use the Bose alone with the VG99, but only add the power amp + GR 4 is over the top, a lot of work programming, but frankly it's worth.

Top quality short for Marshall, I would do without hesitation that choice and I invite all those who criticize the digital to the mix, which for me gives the maximum of what can be expected in terms of guitar sounds. ..
