«  For me the ideal system for live with his emmetteur GB40 so convenient! »

Published on 10/04/14 at 01:07
What I liked the most:
- The key point is the TRANSMITTER for me is its functional and practical side that I love above all. This is the smallest on the market to my knowledge, very light it connects and disconnects very quickly. This is perfect for live (there is even an on / mute / off avoiding the "plucks" undesirable).
- In addition, it has a range PHENOMENAL !! it is used with a single AAA battery, personally I bought a set of rechargeable battery (often recommended for HF but so convenient) and it takes at least a week for 2 hours daily, can be more myself n ' have not counted but I assure you that it is incomparable with my Seinheizer diversity that has trouble holding more than 3/4 hours with a 9V battery and more.
- It is really affordable in terms of price
- Finally, it is worth noting that the sound is excellent and faithful to the original signal (the gain is adjustable on the receiver, you can easily find the right desired level).

I can not find him that two weak points:
- The transmit / receive frequency is not adjustable and it's really annoying. My bassist bought a similar system but doubles (headset + guitar) unfortunately the same frequency therefore can not be connected at the same time is used: this is the same boat when they could have foreseen at minimum two or three possible frequencies in each transmitter / receiver :)
- It is very light but beware its all-plastic design makes it a little vulnerable. One can easily hitting or damaging (eg game sitting or even standing when I use Wha) => personally I used the tip of the man who sold me with simple small circles scratch DIY sticker purchased surface (one on the transmitter and on my 2 guitars) and worries he will not move.

Much to my dismay to learn qu'AKG had abandoned the production of this great transmitter! I think it's a shame because for me it was really the innovation of the century in terms of wireless system guitar / instrument (small, lightweight, long battery life). For me it lacked an adjustable frequency and had been perfect. I use it at home and I have a hard time to part I have yet another HF Seihneizer Diversity which had cost me € 450 but the transmitter is so heavy and inconvenient to side as I prefer 100 times that one, especially when it comes to move from one guitar to another.

So I ask AKG: Please continue to produce the GB40 taking into account the same fixed point of cited improvements (over frequency at least 2 or 3 would be sufficient to scratch the back + bug + review including the potential fragility of the top cover that protects the battery), for me you have found the innovation that exactly matches the needs of the modern player and personally I would buy this system if it comes out the same day if it is a competitor because its use is too convenient.
