The Hammer Storage MoreSpace External 1 TB hard drive is a portable and external hard drive for uses of all types. The setting that I've used the drive in has been for recording session purposes as an external to record on to from Pro Tools. The MoreSpace External series comes in a variety of sizes ranging from 250 GB to 1.5 TB. They also have a MoreSpace Portable series that's not to be confused with this, but is simply a more compact hard drive as this drive is completely portable as well. I don't own one of these drives myself but was recently working with a client who had it to record his project on. The drive is standard as far as it's characteristics, as it's compatible with both Mac and PC operating systems and is a plug and play drive which is always nice. Beyond this there isn't much that one will need to know about the drive as it will do the job for you and should last a while as long as it's treated properly. It's nice that you have a variety of different hard drive sizes to choose from, and as always it's going to be a good idea to get as much space as you can afford as there isn't a huge difference in price between the different sizes as you climb up and it's only going to cost more in the future to get a whole new drive when you run out of space. The price of the Hammer Storage MoreSpace External drives in general is definitely reasonable but won't be the cheapest drives on the market. This having been said, it's going to be a good idea to get something sturdy like this rather than going for the cheapest drives available. Of course all drives will break sooner or latter, but at least with something like the Hammer Storage MoreSpaces External drives you know they should hold up a while...
