Muse Research has announced that it is now shipping the new version of their Receptor line.
The new Receptor 2 is a dedicated hardware plug-in player designed to run “hundreds of virtual instruments and effects with the convenience and portability of dedicated hardware.”
The device uses a single-core processor and a 250GB SATA 2 hard drive, and it is designed to provide significantly more performance than the previous generation.
Additionally, the new plug-in player has a eep blue front panel, LCD, and blue power LED.
The single core AMD processor and high speed DDR-2 RAM of this new second generation of Receptor are designed to provide performance that is similar to the previous generation’s top-of-the line.
Pricing
Receptor 2 has a MAP price of $1999 US.
