For how long have you been using it?
For the past 6 months
Did you try many other models before getting this one?
I have owned a lot of models but rather "modern" ... I was looking for sound color that I knew little about my paternal amps at once I started looking for a good period.
I tried several vintage models (Kenwood, Sansui, Yamaha, Marantz) and my choice is finally stopped on this model from Scott.
What thing do you like most/least about it?
Most:
- Sound quality (timbre, clear treble, comfortable power (2x40W but real watts))
- Reliability (it runs every day without ever stumbling over 30 years! Good large capacitors U.S., good preamp stage)
- Robustness (building, details (boutons. ..))
- The vintage look (brushed aluminum facade and VU meter in front (that always have little effect))
Cons: at this price point, nothing significant
What is your opinion about the value for the price?
EXCELLENT! This has made the difference for me compared to other equivalent products too "popular" (and therefore more expensive, as desired) ... Marantz's example ...
Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice?
