Published on 04/26/12 at 13:39manufactured in Korea by Peerless, who made moultes Gretch, Epiphone and Gibson other since the 70s. Double cutaway with solid maple table and the rest of the body with maple veneer. maple neck, rosewood key with mother of pearl markers, 20 frets. 2 Humbuckers (Gretsch Dual Filter Tron kind Alnico-v Magnet) by a micro volume, a master volume, 1 tone overall, a selector microphones. Bridge Tun-O-Matic on rosewood base, Bigsby B70 Vibrato Tailpiece Gold, Grover GH109. Triple binding black and white abalone in the head and body.
UTILIZATION
the playability is excellent. the handle is comfortable, the action is low enough, without frieze. all boxes are available. rather light and well balanced.
SOUNDS
the neck pickup is very round, very hot, full of harmonics. the bridge pickup is more aggressive, punchy well. I use a pedalboard crossing digitech RP20, connected in stereo on a defender kustom 50 watt lamps, and a peavey 112 StudioPro. She has a beautiful dynamic, beautifully restored and all the nuances of the game has a beautiful clean, and tolerates the crunch a little fat kustom. perfect as the RP20 with overdrive.
OVERALL OPINION
I got it three days ago. n j who could be tested was a little worried but confident. they finally typed Gretch least I thought n (if you want a bit of twang rather go to the Electromatic 5122, slightly less expensive but also less well finished) but is at once much warmer and versatile (at least in my taste!)
playing comfort, impeccable finish, its very hot and with the fishery based mics, I'm really amazed by the quality of this guitar.
