Value For Money : Excellent
(Originally written by yol41/translated from Audiofanzine FR)

Gibson ES175 copy made in the 70's.
The Yamaha AE11 has a spruce top and two humbucker pickups.

UTILIZATION

Rather slim and round neck, very comfortable. The guitar sounds very easily even with heavy strings: It's not difficult to play complex chords and legato playing is a breeze.

SOUNDS

It's made for jazz and you'll get a nice, warm and woody sound pretty fast. Just select the neck pickup and set the tone control properly.

OVERALL OPINION

I was looking for a nice-sounding guitar to learn jazz playing. That's why I tested lots of "affordable" models from Ibanez (AF105, AF85, AF75) but I couldn't find the warmth and playing comfort needed for jazz.
Of course I would love an old Gibson ES175 or an L5 but the price is ten times higher...
I found this guitar in a vintage guitar specialist store and it represented an excellent alternative to the Gibson sound and playing comfort without going broke.
I recommend it if you are not rich and you like old guitars (they sound much better than new ones).
