« Hughes and Kettner Triamp »
Published on 02/19/04 at 15:00bought from shop i used to work, first amp that had everything i wanted in one amp, they had access preamp before but this was hundred watt tube head.
three amps in one, every amp has two channels. so amp 1a clean fender type, amp 1b vox ac 30 type, early marshall.amp 2a plexi marshall, amp 2b jcm 800 or modded marshall. amp 3a boogie type, amp 3b very tight very distorted, unforgiving but rewarding if you play articulate lines.two effects loop, parallel and serial(three if you use reverb's loop which is parallel loop too)footswitch (incl.) to chance any channel and to switch effect loop on. opt. midi module for same thing which is must if you use programmable effect unit(not must but makes more sense). all the sounds are just great and the clean sounds are better than anyother hundred watt head can give you.
footpedals hardwired cable, i add male d-connector to footswitch so now i can use any 9-pin d-connector cable.
clean. tidy, sturdy, and made to stand abuse. friend loaned my head and slipped on ice and the head flied and crashed to the ground but nothing broke or anything.
even now, if i can pick any amp on market for free it would still be triamp.
