Modulus 002 is a twelve-voice polyphonic hybrid synthesizer. The oscillators are digitally controlled, with more than 50 available waveforms as well as a sub-oscillator (lower octave) for each oscillator.
The signal path is then analogue, with a VCA, discrete transistors ladder-type filters, an LFO per voice and a global LFO, a 32-step Animator with 12 settings per step that allows for sequencing any control parameter, an arpeggiator and a 12-track 32-step sequencer.
The synth includes a 61-key semi-weighted keyboard with aftertouch, a 4.3” LCD display, 12 presets banks, an assignable XY joystick, XLR/TRS combo and DSub outputs, two audio inputs and an Ethernet port to update the firmware and access the Modulus Cloud features.
The Modulus 002 synth is expected in the next few weeks, with a price of 3750€ / £2995 / $5200 excl. taxes. Full details are now available at www.modulusmusic.me.
