Value For Money :
Excellent
The number of DSPs (15), the number of I / O (16 ADAT, 2 S / PDIF, two analogues, 1 Midi In and a MIDI Out / Thru), the Scope Fusion Platform, the Plug DSP-ins and the price that prompted my choice.
I am convinced that the future of home recording studios and semi-pro is in the intensive use of software. Parcontre, the lack of momentum in its plug-ins and all the rest took me arflchir has a better solution: Creamware!
The Powerpulsar II is for me the best quality for money to start a musical production of quality mixing, effects, instruments, multiple connections ... all with outstanding sound quality and the icing on the cake: no latency. Moreover, this solution uses the PC for the Scope Fusion Platform. When my running config Creamware, only 10% of the capacity of my PC is used (Pentium IV 1.5 Ghz 512 Mb Ram, 40 Gb HDD and Matrox Millennium G450).
UTILIZATION
The facility was comfortable: no bugs, no problems with compatibility.
In addition, user manual opens up a sound engineer in grass since it explains the concepts and the Torah in matters of sound processing utiliss for each module (effects, synths, mixing desk , connection). The manual can be updates downloads from the site of Creamware http://www.creamware.com/index.php?submenu=support&seite=support&lang=en Manual v40. Get an IDE yourself.
GETTING STARTED
The drivers are often not stable my updated. The latency is 0 thanks to DSPs utiliss when using the DSP plug-ins in the Scope Fusion Platform. There is some latency when using plug-ins via ASIO2. But who would still use VSTs with the dynamics, sound quality and the possibilities are infrieures DSP plug-ins.
OVERALL OPINION
I use 2 personnellemt PowerPulsar and Pulsar II SRB (Total of 34 DSPs) for 2 years. I love everything about this system apart it is a little hard to take over the dpart but cst true for any other system.
Moreover, it is a very good report quality / price given the infinite possibilities of this solution.
