« I grew up with »
Published on 01/25/13 at 13:18German guitar in 1972. Features found on http://soccyr.perso.sfr.fr/framus/5197jumboavril72.htm:
Neck: maple laminated / glued with control bar
stability of the latter is exemplary.
Fingerboard: Ebony 21 frets (fret 0) frets with very wide.
Sides / Back: maple / mahogany.
Top: Solid spruce.
Bridge: rosewood and chrome metal (screwed).
Inlays: Pearl head and neck, the rosette
consists of a varnish in décalcomamie.
Binding white front and rear handle.
Mechanical: open online (2X3).
UTILIZATION
The handle is a delight, very close to a power handle. Without cutting, it does not go very low, but at the same time I rarely go ...
SOUNDS
The wood is 40 years old. It is therefore perfectly dry and I think it should play the sound. For cons, the body is damaged with two slots, one discreet strap on the top, the other much more severe at the bottom. She will go one day at a luthier to fix it (at the same time, I feel always have been like that, it's part of it). Again, I think it affects the sound.
It is deep and rich, but it lacks a bit of power (but the strings are out of age, which does not help!). I prefer largementr than my Applause AE 126.
OVERALL OPINION
This guitar was given to me by my father (who was then bought new) some twenty years.
If I had to separate myself from now all my guitars except one, that is what I keep, in a heartbeat.
