I will not repeat characterizes them, are well known.

Mine is natural color, without piezo, it dates from 2000, is a lefty model.

The appearance of the guitar is very dated, somewhat kitschy current view with eyes, but the J200, it should be taken as it is, with its look, or go to a guitar dressed bourgeois if not more not assume it.

UTILIZATION

Neck fine and pleasant. A jumbo size has a significant, must be taken into account when playing standing and that it is not very large.

We immediately obtain the classic albums of 60s, type Stones.

I bought it in 2003 with a severance payment at the time. I wanted at least that used to pay me something useful and I went to Pigalle (although I am often reluctant to go in view of everything you know about the execrable host who is available to clients in some shops). I had a terrible luck that day because when entering the first store and explaining my situation ("I want a beautiful guitar my budget is almost unlimited"), I managed to interest a bit the seller (I'll stop by the irony.).

Knowing I'm left-handed, even with a good budget, the problem is often the stores, even niche left, often do not stock high-end, always order: finally you can not see much interest go to a store because you can not try anything.

My luck that day was that the seller told me it was just what you are looking I think, wait a second, and he leaves the SJ200, something absolutely impossible to find in lefty and I've also never been found I play some simple chords on it and the thing is understood from my side: I must have it. This was my first major guitar and got on it in 3 seconds: it seems to play an organ when you put hands on it: the sound is crystalline, balanced, hot and with the stamp of classical discs mentioned above. To be honest, I thought the sound came from the microphones of the era, preamps, but the sound was there from all over the guitar.

(I put only 7 for some reason I will detail below.)

SOUNDS

It's perfect for gaming agreement, or folk type ballads, and it's a fun record.

It can be played with flexible pick, stroking just the high strings for rendering fine, a bit like Cat Stevens, or with a harder by attacking the bass which gives it some authority.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 7 years. I must say I think it moved a little because I could not get a handle proper setting: either the strings were too high after the 7th fret, they are curled, independently adjusting truss rod and nut. I even ended up leaving a little aside and told me that I should still take him a luthier to review everything as it became disappointing, and then I ended up trying to fit it into 13 / 56 instead of the standard 12/53 to see. I inquired before about whether it might not damage it and miracle of perfection, as if she had finally, and by chance moved so as to have the ideal setup in medium 13/56: perfect action without friezes but not too high either and then, what a sound!

If you know the show "Elvis Comeback Special 1968: sample:
) is the grain of the Elvis Presley J200 (or almost). I wonder if not also with medium strings because I've never succeeded with any other guitar in this approach except grain since my J200 is mounted bronze drawing medium.

Outstanding guitar at his classic and instantly recognizable. She will remain with me till the end now and will never be sold (at least I hope)
