Strengths: 7 octaves (rare), laptop, floppy drive (but of course it does Exceeds practice at the time), a pitch bend (not at all handy, because the vertical) , MIDI, output pedals Sustain, a desk.
Weaknesses: a little space (probably to the speakers Intgr that take up space and serve as nothing), so hollow plastic on break if handled with care not, bte a headphone output. It is easily transportable provided they do not make kilomtres foot or take the metro during rush hour to go with rpter (yes I did!)
Still the same problem with the hardware YAMAHA: the ass between two chairs, with equipment to appeal to semi-pro but full of trinkets and features for fans who spoil the whole.

UTILIZATION

It simplicime, but not always practical. It is better to know directly numro sounds used to pick them tt on. A force to put the buttons anywhere you take the risk of inadvertently press it right in the game, and such basic rhythm dclencher a box full concert (I assure you is disturbing).
The screen has its usefulness rtro clear, however, the drawings (damn bad) and the small partition is not used much except impress beginners. But then the small partition fascinates everyone so ...
Sound level is always the same thing with YAMAHA: is the good, the good rev and a lot of sucks. Personally I am convinced, keyboards, pianos by Yamaha, who have made a good trs. The Roland piano are not so good. Ms. notes for the church organ, which is excellent. INTERESTED some percussion, some strings, and especially the sounds and synths that are Lead trs good and fit perfectly the road in front of other brands. Weakness: you can not hack the grind or custom settings except with the effects but they are not easily accessible. It is an arranger keyboard and mchant bte. The rest sounds sucks or almost unusable.
It's a shame that so many buttons everywhere (even if did when even less gadget that PSR), these speakers quite bulky (it should be the dtach) and as much functionality s for lovers (teaching piano, sounds cheap useless dbiles sounds, rhythms tacky), but it's also a good audience who wants a. It's also a shame that we can not tweak the sounds, as permitted by the cheapest of Roland.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought it on sale just 3 years ago prt. I needed a portable keyboard with some nice sounds (especially piano) and a maximum of octaves (five octaves is not enough). And I could not pay too much. The DGX 300 was perfect, I took it. Quality level price is unbeatable! I bought more for a better quality keyboard for not using more sounds. To have good organ, a few synths and Rhodes I bought Specializes other machines, but the DGX me the piano chords and a few tablecloths and everything is proper.
I use both keyboard and matre gnrateur sounds. So I can combine the piano or a sheet with other synth sounds of a Slave more powerful and your exact trs is convincing.
With exprience, I probably do it again this choice. But if I had more as I probably privilgi keyboard more compact, less gadget, a USB quip (admittedly unusual when I bought the DGX) and some better sounds . But for the price I could not get any better than my old DGX 300 which is my primary keyboard scne, with all the other machines around him and compltent.
