Published on 07/08/14 at 04:01Joint microphone used on dry guitars, overhead / atmosphere drums, vocals. Tube technology.
OVERALL OPINION
Micro lamp first prize, pretty well stocked (suspension, power supply, carrying case, windscreen, etc.). This is my first micro tube, I tested a lot of mics before transistor (audio technica, shure, etc). None the finesse of it for the song.
I have two now for 5 or 6 years, and I must say that for the entry level of the lamps was there really versatile and useful material context semi-pro or pro (studio only, the micro takes too the noise to be used elsewhere). Although "framed", ie with insulating foam to avoid reverberations, seeking the right distance and the right positioning in the room, it is a quite impressive microphone.
We looked for our final prod to compare different microphones, neumann, shure, audio technica, mxl, and singing, and what was the best. To our ears at least, everything is relative in music.
One small problem, sometimes some noise (buzzing, ringing) but still passengers. you plant it can take on a very soft sounds (intro dry scraper) but use rock w / no worries.
If I had to buy a microphone with my budget at the time, I will be barreling without hesitation.
