The Viewsonic VG2230wm is a 22" LCD monitor for computers of all types. One of the rooms at the studio where I work has this as the main monitor for monitoring Pro Tools. It may not be as nice as an Apple Cinema monitor or something similar, but it certainly gets the job done as it's got a crystal clear screen and isn't going to cost you nearly as much as an Apple monitor would. It's not the biggest monitor in the world, but it's certainly not the smallest and it's definitely adequate enough for using Pro Tools or other DAWs on it. I'm not sure if this model comes in other screen sizes or not, but 22 inches should definitely be enough for most DAWs. There are plenty of smaller monitors out there that are in this price range, so considering this low price the size of the screen is definitely more than what you would normally expect. There aren't any special features or anything like that that I'm aware of with the Viewsonic VG2230wm, as it's pretty standard, although what can you really expect from a monitor, and especially one at this price. My only real complaints about the monitor would be that the adjustment parameters don't feel the sturdiest, although I can't complain too much as they do get the job done just fine. Generally when it comes to monitors I'm the first to jump on board with the cheapest one available, and that's usually what you're going to get with ViewSonic. It's not a name brand by any stretch, but it's definitely a more than adequate monitor, whether you're using it for your DAW or not. If you can find one cheaper I'd probably recommend doing so, but for the price I don't think you'll be finding too many LCD monitors of this quality...
