«  The best Les Paul I've ever seen! »

Published on 09/12/12 at 08:23
Value For Money : Excellent
Made in Japan.

All the features of a Les Paul:
- Body and mahogany neck, maple top, rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets.
- Stop-bar and bridge-type tune-o-matic.
- 2 humbuckers Seymour Duncan, 59, and Jeff Beck, and split with volume and tone.

The body says "Full Thickness", ie it has the same thickness as a Les Paul. And it plays the sound.

Handle finer than Gibson.

Flamed maple table pretty.

Finishing "distessed" ie the "reliquage" more subtle than Fender!

UTILIZATION

Handle very nice, no worries.
Access to acute??? Ben ... it is a Les Paul ... so ... bof!

Very reasonable weight, much lighter than a Les Paul in 1995, comparable to "Traditionnals" current.

9/10 for the handle, and no reason to complain because we know the rest of the defects of this kind of guitar.

SOUNDS

Big sound, yes. But not only!
All positions are exploitable microphones clear sound, crunch and saturated.
Splitted sounds are surprisingly realistic.

What I like the most? sustain ................. fabulous!

I compared in store with a Standard 2008, the original American seemed very bland compared to the Japanese copy.

OVERALL OPINION

I have since late August 2012.

It was the only model. And there is not much in France.

Excellent value for money, even if it is not given, the original Gibson are completely dropped. Should do with the Custom Shop ...

I would do? Oh yes!

ESP is definitely a brand to consider.
