Published on 08/28/01 at 15:00I purchased this guitar from World Class Guitars in CT. I paid just under $1600 for the guitar, minor hardware modification, beautiful double flamed top, flight case, and shipping to Chicago.
This guitar is amazing. It has some great tone to it, almost identical to a Les Paul, neck feels good and real easy to play, and there are no problems that I have found (and I looked pretty hard... minor buzz on the 3rd fret of the low e, but that went away). A little on the heavy side, but thats ok.
Nothing wrong with the guitar that I have found yet. Only improvements I can see are a pickup change and a new amp. The Marshall Valvestate I have isn't exactly performing to it's fullest...
Very well constructed, solid, and I believe all that I've heard about them being a low-output company. Quality hardware, and they even took the time to write on a little scroll-looking sticker that says Heritage Guitar Inc. with my model number finish type and all that... I was just happy it wasn't engraved by a machine is all. I have the feeling this guitar will be around for a while.
This guitar rocks. Worth every penny, and maybe even more. I put it up there with the Gibsons and PRS's I have played for almost double the price. I would recommend this guitar, and the entire Heritage line, to anyone looking for one hell of a guitar for a reasonable price. I also recommend World Class Guitars www.edromanguitars.com They have a huge selection of Heritage guitars, and great service. I plan on buying another Heritage, most likely from World Class.
Sorry about the advertising, but they really do kick ass.
