The 49th edition of the Midem international B2B event dedicated to the music ecosystem will take place on June 5 to 8 in Cannes, south of France.

Midem 2015 has many novelties, one of which is an enlarged program designed specifically to support labels and artists who aim for international development. They will have the opportunity to showcase in front Midem delegates and the public (a partial opening to the public is planned) and benefit from a professionalizing support through conferences, senior industry mentoring and VIP networking opportunities.

Also new at Midem 2015 is the launch of a new Innovation and Technology area that will be open to all visitors, including to the general public. Located at the heart of the Palais des Festivals, it will welcome companies dedicated to music-oriented technology, content and connected objects.

Many conferences will be organized during these four days, see the program on this page.

Midem 2015 will also give room to new international talents with the first edition of the Midem Artist Accelerator. 12 artists from all around the world were selected by an international jury and will play on the main stage during the show.

Last, Midem 2015 celebrates the Year of Armenian Culture with different cultural events highlighting the Armenian music, arts, fashion, cuisine and traditions. Visitors will have the opportunity to listen to the Katuner jazz band, the Acoustic Colors Quartet, and Miqayel Voskanyan & friends, whose music expresses a modern use of the folk instruments of Armenia, as well as the rock band Dorians, who represented the country in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 with the song “Lonely Planet, ” co-written by Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), and Ambassador, a traditional ensemble directed by violinist Varazdad Khachumyan, will also be performing alongside with DJ BeatMan. Midem will also pay tribute to the Armenian composer Komitas on Saturday June 6th during the Midem VIP dinner.
