Published on 05/17/12 at 15:52Midi interface / USB 4 in, 4 out, the possibility to use expander noon (I think that's how it is called, we enter into a source in one, and you come out the same 4 x source on all outs).
It's a metal box, the whole does not seem so far rock solid (it seems it is a bit empty), the DIN 5 are not quite in the center of the holes, but the cables fit twelve o'clock no problem so it suits me. I carted a couple of times in my bag and I have not had any problems yet.
Actually saw the shoes are fairly easily, I looked after reading the previous opinion, never mind good.
UTILIZATION
No drivers, I plugged it directly into my mac (macbook aluminum 2008 under Leo) and I have had no problems, only used with Ableton Live, but hey, I doubt that it works with the rest, c ' is MIDI. The only time it worked and not the machine on the phone did not ring, is that it was I who was stuck somewhere.
I do not have billions of machine noon, so I used up two outs, one in the same time, and that way no worries.
OVERALL OPINION
I'll do a little devil's advocate but I find it kinda sad that people put zero at this interface. Of course we will not expect something that has an extraordinary production for that price, but at the level of service, bah this box, I have always been faithful, no worries. This was the cheapest store (format box), it already seems a bit expensive for a "simple" interface (I was not about to buy another more expensive brand), and at the end I happy to have 4 inputs and 4 outputs (although so far I have not even needed to use half the same time, I know I'm off, at least).
A good 8 for reliability (I may be alone in thinking that) and the price, and not 10 because the box is not tip top level manufacturing (chipotter history).
And so yes, I would do without hesitation that choice because I do not see the point of putting more money into this box.
