Excellent
I use it for a year in a manner not very regular.
It controls my Electrix Repeater, I configured to handle around 18 parameters on the 80 proposed by the machine. I could go further in the config, now I have to change banks to have access to my 18 functions, because I decided to put a Control Change or Program Change switch. That makes the organization, reflection and work to make the fold but it is necessary with this type of gear: it is not plug-and-play must think has what you want to do and its config before launching. On the size of the FCB1010 and the number of switch I think that put more on one foot would have a product too large or with switch too close to each other. FCB is already rather beefy and heavy.
This is my first midi controller pedal form. Otherwise I synth, and bliptronome PADKONTROL.
The +:
- Earn more changes on the same switch: each pedal can simultaneously run multiple control change, program change and control footswitch. eg reverb and distortion activate simultaneously.
- The number of configurable switch 10 + 2 for banks
- The robust metal chassis
- Power chouco
- Complete: function merge, midi in and out connectors din, sysex, midi note, expression pedal, footswitch in output jack.
- The space between the switch which is sufficient not engage in both simultaneously.
- The config and banks: the FCB1010 is autonomous and does not foolishly sends information to which the controlled machine must adapt.
The -:
- The size / weight
- The number of banks (10 is a bit light for those who have a lot of parameters)
- The limited number of cc and pc simultaneously on a switch (to be honest there is enough for my use, but there is a limit when it is negative, is not it?)
- The pedals are a bit special expressions must make his own tests and do not hesitate to schedule its setting on a smaller race.
The value for money is excellent, this is the kind of product that is indestructible 80 euros buys used without too much fear of being cheated. Other products are more expensive for the same or more expensive ultra when they offer more.
If I lose mine I think I would do this choice, you can control everything with this product, amp presets, reverb, ableton live sampler and any machine accepting Midi cc and pc.
