I was looking for a fretless, jazzbass-style bass neck with an ebony fingerboard and a 7.25" radius. Nowadays, such radius are very hard to find and rarely ever manufactured. I won’t get into much details but I looked everywhere and even asked luthiers. Finally, my budget allowed me to get to Usacg (in the USA).
For approximately $400 (including taxes, customs and so on), I now have the neck I was after.
Flawless quality, perfect playability. Perfectly adapts on a Jazzbass body. The ebony fingerboard is wonderful.
Usacg’s neck heads are not Fender-shaped, but the most die-hard will sand it to fit their expectations.
Also, for the price, the neck comes unpolished.
The guys ar Usacg (especially Tommy) are very nice and listening. Real professionals!
I was used to buy from Warmoth, now I have new friends!
