5-String Jazz Bass U.S. Standard Series. Colour white red-brown plate.
Passive, 2 single coils, 2 volume, tone.
Double Easel config: single or strings through the body.
Rosewood.
20 squares.
Sold with a rigid thermoformed Pouche any and all beauty accessories. Besides, I did not find the key to 6 parts to adjust the accuracy (in fact it is an American size in multiples of thumb intermediary between the 2mm and 2.5 mm)

UTILIZATION

Channel comfortable for big hands, wide but flat with a good glide.
Access to acute always ridiculous on jazz bass but hey it's the shape that it wants ...
The weight is light (4.5 kg) compared to its size and robustness. So it is very well balanced which means that we can keep it long on the shoulder without too much pain.
However I have a small reserve which is probably more a matter of taste. In fact I had to file the nut at the G string. This state of the button too far for my liking and difficult shot and a slap in the trigger too hard to shrink.

SOUNDS

Even without the plug was a powerful acoustic sound. Config microphones is very simple but effective. I put both on slap, tone + easel for the kids play with fingers and neck pickup to sound more vintage.
To top it jazz fusion, except that 24 cases had not been denied ...
I played with a trace elliot and I use a GT-10B as preamp. I recently tested a markbass and since I dream at night!
This bass has a strong presence and good accuracy even if serious.

OVERALL OPINION

It's been 3 months since I use it live, rehearsed and home studio.
Is not to say, it makes no pic pic.
The story is that I've bought in a shop in Cavaillon where the seller was good advice. I went into the idea of buying a slap in the active but after testing different models in the store on my own amp, the difference was glaring. The seller in question is an experienced bass player and said he himself chose the models in U.S. stocks. Maybe it comes from that as can be seen as a good not so good on new U.S. jazz bass. In any case he convinced me to buy the liability for the simple reason that with the passive preamp can choose (for me the GT-10B BOSS). It is indeed very difficult to get rid of the active color (even with a switch active / passive).
So actually, it was cheaper on the internet but then I was well settled and cherished by the seller who is a true professional with a real customer service and a long-term monitoring.
