« Ibanez GWB2 »
Published on 02/17/03 at 15:00I acquired it at a Keymusic in Belgium for 1900 (same in dollars)
The GWB is the Gary Willis signature bass frm Ibanez and features an ash body with a verrrry slim neck for absolute good playability. The tuners are specially designed for good grip and are a plus on the bass.
The sound is good, but i noticed a difference in volume between the G-string and all other strings? The G was far less loud than the other strings, i didn't like that.
Ash body, bolt-on neck, Bartolini pick-up, Bartolini 2-way EQ. The pick-up is easy to control with a volume-pot and a concentric high-low pot.
A very fast neck makes it a good player, but the lack of volume on the G is something i didn't expect on a 1800 bass...
