Although it looks and sounds much like the other SR basses, the 305E specifically in Pearl Fade White has now had necks fail 2 times on me in 2 years. Technician believes it is a manufacturing flaw and will be replacing with a different model, SR375 which has a different neck construction. At first it played great, but shortly after the first restringing, it started to buzz here and there.. within a few months it was buzzing all over the upper register of the neck.. not repairable. Second time, each one lasted less than a year. Ibanez is normally a great product and I love them... this seems to just be "one of those models".
Used in variety band, I've got 3 other Ibanez basses I love.
Unfortunately this does not stand up to comparison with other models.
Pros- great look, light, fast, wicked electronics
Cons- poor material choices, failures of structural elements.
