Body: Ash
Top: flamed maple
Channel: crossing, maple + 3 slices ovangkol
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Pickups: "house" with cover Rosewood
Buttons: low / medium / treble / balance / volume (push-pull active electronics)
Option: Left, neck through
UTILIZATION
Handle very nice and fast. The ergonomics are excellent. Very good balance. Because the neck-through sustain is amazing. Sound adjustment easy. For an appropriate setting, it is also comfortable to play jazz finesse and speed (low action) over a game offensively.
SOUNDS
I preferred the microphones "house" (caches rosewood hyper-Class) to blocks Barto (or others for that matter) more typical "big sound" and I regret nothing, I can shape my sound without pb and it sounds wickedly. I often play a MarkBass MicroMark no other artifice (not even a compressor) and, between bass and the amp, I have more than 4 knobs to turn to go from one config to another.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for a little less than a month and I know I do not get tired.
In my area (Alpes-Maritimes), try left-handed bass (especially at this level) is impossible. In the best case as I can I test the models I'm right or an idea from the reviews on the web. I chose Luthman on trust, and because a low-maker at this price it's hard to resist. I do it again this election without pb. The custom instrument that I have received is fully consistent with what I expected. In addition Thierry (the maker) is really nice.
