Like all the MM is a made in San Luis Obispo, California United States. It has the handle errable (I think) 24 frets, two Humb, 3EQ, volume and 5-position microphone. It is of course active
UTILIZATION
This is my first 5 string I played this up with an American Deluxe Precision and therefore not at all accustomed to handle. It's me who cemanche faitl'envie moving to 5 strings because I find it much thinner than other 5c. I have not had too much trouble finding the access to all the strings. Small flat, probably due to sleeve end, the 5th has tendency to slip off the handle, it may be a habit to take. The ergonomics are great and perfectly balanced everything falls directly under the hand without fumbling. Su paper, it would be a bit heavier than the P-bass but I feel absolutely no difference so the balance is perfect. The access to the latest freight parcontre me is more difficult because not at all accustomed to and above 24 frets to the neck width at this location. No worries juqu'à 22 on all strings. I did not put more than 2 minutes to find sounds that work for me.
SOUNDS
I usually made from rock to 70% 15% Ska, 10% and 5% Punkrock Blues. It is a treat all styles are possible, the more crystalline than fat. Super low round, crystalline highs, a real treat. Of course, I recall that it is a double Hmm, I tell you not like that sends nasty. It retouve parcontre the best sound on the bridge pickup is on that one what the richer palette. Neck pickup, but if it is very decent, it's not really him only to be used. I think the best sound and the bridge pickup in humbucker (position two) that offers the richness of sound and when to send the heavy, Position 4: single + double bobinagechevalet the handle. It's mind-blowing!!
I tested it on an amp quite honest, a Hartke HA3500 and already, it gives an idea of the character of the Stingray. CA ALREADY SUPER SOUNDS GOOD. At home I have a SVT3pro, it's deadly. I tried this morning on a Little Mark3, and there ... that's when you really hear the sound quality of this bass. It's beautiful! Well, I also confess that my friend is better than me.
OVERALL OPINION
Come I said, I've had two days, and I usually play one knew am Pbass deluxe 4 string. I tried a G & L before and Warwick Thumb and Streamer $ $ $ $. I'm not at all like the G & L The Warwick Thumb sent the super heavy with his two Humb but the handle was too broad and the Streamer a real anvil. 4 of this was the most expensive but it was most enjoyable to play. I would say it is expensive but when you look for something in the high ranges, it no longer comes close to € 200 when you love!
