5 string electric bass is passive.
21 frets.
2 microphones type jazz bass.
Bridge two configurations: the strings pass through the body or not.
Made tileul with maple top and rosewood in touch.
Blue finish in my case .
Basic Electronics: 1 volume per pickup and master tone.

UTILIZATION

The handle is Qualibre means pulling end. Easy to play. Access to acute is not impressive but still adequate. The bass has good ergonomics and is pretty light. It is still well balanced. In sound: it has a sound mat, too type, which can apply to everything.

SOUNDS

As mentioned above, it sounds very boilerplate. I used it with amps and a tube transistor and frankly, with the sound it has, I was not able to see a difference between the two amps, so the sound is always the same. Now, with my G & L I really see the difference.

I greatly appreciated this sound mat with lots of punch on the high strings, perhaps due to adjustment at the height of the pick ups. Otherwise, say that if is not very clear and tight (at the rope), but for the price, frankly satisfesant. We can try to correct a little by adding a piece of pipe after the bridge to lengthen the rope and taking larger strings.

The sound is bold to wish, but personally I've always played with the tone to zero because, whatever trèèèèsss effective, this setting makes the sound nasiard quickly, I personally resent it, but can be very good slap in example (not too much: P)

In short, it's a bass that has a good sound, but little opportunity, so we just blamed a lack of personality and lack versatility may sound, whatever it is a really good all the well

OVERALL OPINION

I used two out of three years for my studies in music. It is a low level that has frankly good for the price to pay (under $ 400 CAD 3 years ago ...). Certainly when we reach a more professional level, is far from being an instrument absolutely necessary to his collection. For cons, I must say that I always use when I have songs in a different tuning in the middle of a show and she always responds to my request, good sound, instantly.

Strengths: the look absolutely beautiful, the price / quality ratio is absolutely stunning and very versatile sound (which may be a default?)

Weaknesses: the so serious that colors the tone too much.

I do it again without hesitation that choice because this bass is well worth its price and it allowed me to spend 3 beautiful years to discover music without ruining myself. I put here a 10 because I sincerely believe that this price / quality ratio is outstanding!
