Inspired by Dulcimer, Merlin is a compact acoustic instrument announced as easy to play, and designed for musicians and music lovers with no particular skills.
The instrument features a body with a rosette, a Tusq Graphtec bridge with compensated saddle and string-throug-body, a fretted neck (7 frets) and a matched headstock with 4 tuners. The nut width is 1.280” (325mm).
The lowest string on Merlin is tuned to D, the middle string is an A and the for the high-end, two strings tuned to D are mounted together.
Merlin will be available in two versions with Spruce or Mahogany tops, both with an satin natural finish. The body and neck of both instruments are made of maple.
Merlin is manufactured in Canada and will retail for the street price of $129. You can download at www.seagullguitars.com the manual of the instrument, in which you will find explanations and tabs to get you started. Demos will be organized at showroom #211A at Winter NAMM 2014.
