I bought this guitar at "Le Palais de la Musique" (St-Jean-sur-le-Richelieu, Qc.) for 469$ before taxes (boy do we enjoy thoses!). I had been playing Kramers for most of my life but had also owned some Ibanez and Yamaha (also a Cort, but i'd rather not talk about it). I chose Godin because it is made in America (CanadaUSA) but did not have to sell my life away to buy it (some company would need reality treatment in their price area...insane!)

Mahogany body and bolt-on neck. Really tight neck pocket, amazing fret job (jumbos), confortable hand-shaped neck (a little bit more wide and fat than the majority we see). Satin finish is perfect, nice golden brown color, amazing wood grain. Recessed Schaller bridge (no weird angle between body and neck; kissed my chiropractor goodbye!). Great sounding, nickel-covered humbuckers. Five-way switch so you can split the pick-ups in the 2nd and 4th position. Flat top, but contoured in the back. 24 3/4 scale=really fat sound (please notice that i didn't say "muddy", fat and clear). The neck has this "Ergo-cut" profile that other company call "rolled fingerboard edges", so it feels broken-in, like you've been playing it for many years.

I like everything about it. But i must say that for me, it took me a while to get used the the feel of the guitar; at first, it felt like an acoustic (especially with 10s), but now, i wouldn't go back to what i use to play, the quality is just too good to be true at that price!!!

The material used is great. The workmanship is above reproach. Real solid wood body with sustain for ever.
It's almost as loud unplugged as some acoustics i had before (I know, it sounds exagerated, but try them, you'll be convinced!

I wish i'd live closer to the city where thay make those, i'd love to work for such an excellent company who give people what they need at a price they can afford! That's like the best of both worlds!
