CP 251 is divided into six windows
4 of the top used to filter, amplify or attenuate, mix
the bottom left is a patch of four, the right to a source WHITE NOISE and TRIGGER 1, last two trigger if you hack
no MIDI, no USB ....

the rings are either strapped to the cable or an expression pedal
rather odd dimensions, with a suitable rack tole
UTILIZATION
there ca be complicated. manual in English, but they are people you need?
What is known has an LFO, a LAG, attenuators, a section of four mixers ... but loses its bearings connect all this with the choice of two waveforms
schemes offer qq bases, a personal experience qq hours and a great deal of intuition will help you. doc encourages intending to buy all the filters in the MOOG brand.
I assure, the CP251 is already is a mixture of modulation, pitch management and CV
Me, only the CP 251 enough for me.
there are 132 possible combinations and even more if we add an expression pedal
SOUND QUALITY
there's not a product but a white noise in export possible.
it controls, it module demodulates it reduced, re injects VOLTAGE
it creates harmonic of variable pitch, CV unstable or stalled on waveforms ... there is no real limit. capable of cutting a signal of anything big or complex hyper signal.
I use it with a MINITAUR and pedal MOOG
I prefer the oddities created the PITCH random reduction, and the LFO sawtooth on the CV GATE.
it gives me complex and repetitive harmonic 2-stroke or 4-stroke depending on the speed of the LFO, it is even in logic OVERDRIVE by patching signals, we find the MS20.
distant metallic effects reminiscent TB 303 if you start on the treble
can re injecting a wave for modulating the second to increase this potential ... short, ca remember the 1970s and 80s we all worked with the cables!
OVERALL OPINION
it takes hours to find what you want and acquire the reflexes
the expression pedal does not really interest on 4 ciglées taken
we love its price occasion, around 200 euros in May 2013
we do not like: the lack of screen, and buttons without notch or numerical values, so, some dexterity is not to disrupt have inadvertently take note on a paper (one blank matrix available in PDF) I recommend for beginners or so, you help to make debut!
We love: the link to anything that accepts a CV / GATE and PITCH: MOOG synth, xoxbox, future retro revolution (the voltage gaffe anyway), the Korg monotribe, the ROLAND etc. ....
You really have to buy it as an additive to the gear and not as an AUDIO effects processor because it is indeed a wave reworking, we do jazz, techno, drum and bass and pop - rock
so it's a Swiss Army knife, a box that heats all the sound for a bit that the base is good.
