We are still waiting for detailed specs, but we already know that the XW-G1 is a synthesizer designed to let users enjoy some of the features club DJs use on their digital equipment. The functions of various DJ gear are included in this unit, including its Step Sequencer for selecting rhythm patterns, Phrase Sequencer offering preset phrases designed to spice up DJ performances, and Sample Looper for digitally sampling rhythm patterns, keyboard performances, or externally input sound, allowing overdubbing.
Using the built-in 61-key keyboard, users can play the keyboard while using rhythm patterns as backing tracks, and use the keyboard to call up features while DJ-ing.
Availability:
The Casio XW-P1 will be available in late March and the XW-G1 will arrive in April.
