Published on 09/04/13 at 08:56I just received two! The last series in Martin has cracked me the price, the LED, and the technical characteristics of the latter. (I already have scans led Chinese 60w and I had enjoyed the power led ...)
I have not tested other models before buying it, but for now it does not seem to me that this little beast have direct competitor, or at least, very little ...
In addition I already put all the potential benefits of LED: Featherweight 18kg (! For all these functions), does not heat, light almost as much as the 575w discharge. What I like most is the colors are really well chosen, although some combinations of the two color wheels are sometimes useless ... Another strong point is the dimmer is really straight and does not jolts on the first valeures DMX. The index of the colors to put two colors are also welcome! Last interesting detail, the powercon In and Out: For 338w, needless to say we can daisy chain a dozen on the phase 16A regardless of buggery shot ... : P
On the negative side, an iris that does not close to 100% certain combinations of colors unnecessary (already mentioned), and some gobos too small, so it is impossible to adjust the focus for a net that perfect = drool next! Too bad because several gobos were well chosen ... Regarding the manual provided with it is totally wrong in color, and therefore difficult to create the fixture on the PC (I had to redo everything later).
In terms of price / quality ratio, I still think Martin has released an interesting product! It is expensive, but it's Martin, and we have a product that would have cost 3-4 times more expensive it five years ago, with a light to change, which heats much, consumes too heavy and lyre!
For me, good for the service, I intend to take 2 or 4, then turn towards the Rush MH-2 wash to complete this!
