Bose does not fail its reputation for clean design with this model. They can go anywhere.
In sound, I am impressed by the power and regularity of the sound of these speakers. Currently, I'm using that to play music, but at first I also used them to amplify my keyboards. And for these uses, they do not have to fade before the speakers of "monitoring" Behringer MS40 I purchased subsequently, creaky medium volume in a compact 8 times.
Sometimes used for playing music in the evening, they suffice for sound to a room of 30m ² with 15 people. With the volume knob up, they do not crack and the definition of sound is good. These are surprisingly low for a 2.0 system of this size.
Came to replace Multimedia Speaker Logitech low-end, they were recommended to me by a friend who had them tested. I was looking for a compact monitoring system (without cabinet), with good sound quality and bass, and they seduced me very quickly.
Since nothing is perfect, I found them a few minor flaws: a little too low at these low volume, the absence of equalization, and the lack of balance control between the two speakers. Still, I highly recommend them to seeking a compact 2.0, with a good sound definition and a sober line. For 90 €, the price / size / power / design / sound is excellent.
