« It has aged surprisingly well! »
Published on 06/16/11 at 12:01It is a classical guitar, very classic. There's really nothing special to note about it.
It is slightly out of tune, and improved significantly over time. Given what she has stood ever since I did, I think we can be called a solid!
I added to mine a piezo "Happen" which allows me to amplify it.
UTILIZATION
The guitar is normal. I love the run but I have this guitar for 13 years and I am perhaps not very impartial.
Access to acute is obviously the downside of this guitar, as on all conventional, cutaway, especially since the action is fairly high on mine.
SOUNDS
It is a classical guitar, no surprise, but it sounds great, and very deep. Many people who try to compliment me on the sound of the scratching.
I suppose this quality is partly due to age. I tested the same model twice in the store and I was surprised by the somewhat plastic sound compared to mine. This is of course not the only nor the oldest guitar I played, but I think what has been particularly aged!
I have recently been able to connect via the piezo Happen in a great sound system in concert (farm Biéreau, Louvain-la-Neuve). The sound was really stunning. Very nice, very hot and very dynamic.
OVERALL OPINION
I have since 1998. That's my only classical guitar, but I have tried many others, is my favorite and probably one of the best I have had in hand.
To buy a classical guitar, I would buy one with a cutaway, because I like to go in the treble. However, this requirement aside, and given the excellent aging of mine, I warmly recommend this model.
