Metafader is currently compatible with Logic Pro X, but Arts Unmuted says that Cubase Pro 8 and Studio One 2.6 will soon be supported.
The app requires Lemur 5.03 minimum on iPad Air 1 or 2 (some gestures don’t work on older devices) and allows for multitouch control of the DAW. About 100 gestures can be assigned (simple ou double tap, slide with one or more fingers) to transport controls, and more than 1,000 commands organized in 5 scenes are available with color codes.
Metafader features a 32 channel Mackie Control mixer (metagrid) with volume, pano, plug-in, send, EQ and instrument parameter control. A MIDI CC module allows for assigning MIDI CC values to the 16 color-coded faders and by using a “multi-ball” controller, you can combine assigned CCs to your faders.
Metafader is available for $49 at www.artsunmuted.com.
