It is now almost two years since I use these ear protectors (purchased late 2006). I use it in rehearsal with my band (rock, two guitars, bass, drums, and therefore quite noisy) and in concert.

These protections are very effective. They help maintain a listening line that respects the music listened to and they avoid the effect "seem to have the head in a jar" you may have with any single foam plugs.

In use, I noticed that it is better to drive them properly in the ear to maintain these qualities. Sometimes I repeat not in the press so as not to completely reduce the volume and immerse myself more in the mood of the group, but in this case, you lose their qualities and we are left with this bottle that distorts sound.

Volume level, I do not know how you lose, but I can tell you that after 2 or 3 hours of practice at full speed, I do not feel tired of hearing. My ears are well protected.

Comfort level, these protections require a little time to adapt. At first it does not seem very comfortable, but once in place in the ear (and a little wet so they fit better) and after a few minutes, they are easily forgotten. And use in use, it is the ear.

Of course, it will not suit everyone, some of them will never do (too narrow ear canal or a feeling of claustrophobia ...), it means to breathe, it's weird at first.

This is a very good product, reasonably priced and indispensable for those who make music, will live or canned regularly and who do not want to become deaf at age 30. Even in the subway, it helps mitigate the loud noises of the wheels on the rails in tunnels :-)

Among the defects (but none is unacceptable and does their intrinsic quality), these protections have a tip (black on the picture, but mine are plastic) and in the subway, you can quickly switch to a con with those things that are beyond the ear! But in rehearsal or concert, who cares!
Finally, the white shutters that are inserted into the ear tend to yellow slightly over time because of earwax, unless you clean them well after each use. Otherwise, after a moment, the tip slightly yellow, it does not go over and if you ever want to pay, it's just disgusting, even if you just wash them, but hey, it's not the kind of subject that often lends ...
